Teaser Tuesday!

Posted on: January 18, 2011

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My teaser this week comes from Donita K. Paul’s book Dragons of the Valley.

“Sir Beccaroon sensed the turmoil in the Amber Palace as soon as he landed on the roof.  He shook his feathers, cocked his head, and tried to discern exactly where the commotion centered.”         — p. 19

Heading off now to read everyone else’s teasers!  Happy Reading!

TEASER TUESDAYS — JAN. 18

That’s a good quote. Are you enjoying the book? I’ve been in an urban fantasy/horror/fiction books, but I want to get back into fantasy. Thanks for the teaser, it will definitely be in my TBPR!

Dragons I love dragons might have to add this to my list.

My Teaser Tuesday

That’s interesting. Are there dragons in the story (because of the cover)? Thanks for sharing!

I haven’t read any dragon-related books but this one sounds interesting! Thank you for sharing!

I haven’t encountered the dragons as of yet, but they must be coming since the title of the book is “Dragons of the Valley” and there are dragons on the front! I love dragons, too! I am really enjoying this book!

I love this meme because it introduces me to genres that
I’ve never thought of reading before. Yours is the second teaser
featuring dragons this week. I’m just now getting used to
historical fiction and time travel. Who knows? May be dragons next!
Thanks for stopping by my place for a look at some historical
fiction– Summit Musings

It certainly makes me wonder what Sir Beccaroon
is.

I have something of hers in my TBR pile … hmmm …. ah! No, actually, I’ve already read it … Two Tickets to the Christmas Ball, which was a sweet little mixture of magic and holiday romance. The series that your title comes from seems to be very popular and I’m wondering how Sir Beccaroon landed on the tower!
